Dear Lois, I was greatly saddened today and totally stunned to learn of Steve's passing! He was the Sachs family attorney and a wonderful friend, lo these many years. He enjoyed exchanging family news with me, and he was so happy for me when I became a grandfather. As Steve and you were well aware, my father was one of four children, but he was the only one who married; and I am his only child. So, this grandbaby took on extra-special importance for me, and Steve remarked on how happy I was in the role of grandfather. In his work for our family Steve was a devoted and careful attorney who shepherded the Sachs family assets through the vagaries of numerous estate administrations. I shall always remain grateful for his dedication to our welfare. and I shall remember him for the many mitzvot and courtesies he extended to us. May G-d give you strength to endure the pain of his passing. He was a real mensch.
