Peter - My condolences to you and your family on the loss of your wife Sheila. Sadly, I know all too well what you are going through -- I lost my Bob this past summer. It takes a while, but eventually the world begins to right itself. Best wishes. Eila

When somone you love becomes a memory that memory becomes a treasure. I treasure all my memories of Sheila. I was a Therapeutic Recreation Director at Glendale during part of the time that Sheila was there. Though she no longer was teaching in a school: she taught us all many things. SHe taught us to smile no matter what, she taught us all about love. She loved her daughter and was so very proud of her. I remember her during a group where we were talking about who we would kiss if we could kiss anyone that we wanted and she told us with those gorgeous eyes and beautiful spirit that she would kiss her prince which we all knew was her husband. How she loved her husband and he her. He would bring in all sorts of information on her illness to share with us. Sheila: is now an angel in heaven watching over us. I was truly blessed to have known her; she was one special lady. God Bless.

I read about Mrs. Tyrrell and wanted to offer my condolences. I am so sorry for the loss that your family is experiencing. Losing a loved one, even when they have been sick for a long time, is very distressing. But in the Bible God describes himself as "the God of all comfort." (2 Corinthians 1:3) So I thought I'd share a brief thought with you that I have often found comforting. So many people are left wondering about and fearing for the welfare of those they have lost in death but the our Creator does not leave us to wonder. The Bible book of Ecclesiastes chapter 9 verse 5 reveals that, "the dead are conscious of nothing." There is no more pain or suffering. So although I am sure that Mrs. Tyrrell will be missed as a mother, wife, sister and instructor, she no longer has to suffer. Having lost members of my family recently I know how hard it can be to cope with such a loss but I also know how comforting the Scriptures can be and I hope that all your family is as comforted by these thoughts as mine was.
