Obituary of Mary Gerner

Mary E. (Mahoney) Gerner, 96, of 140 Cook Hill Rd., passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009 at The Elim Park Baptist Home. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Gerner. Mary was born March 6, 1913 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late David and Mary (Mackey) Mahoney. Mary was a communicant of St. Thomas Beckett Church in Cheshire. Mary is survived by a son Paul Gerner of Floral Park, NY, two daughters Christine and her husband Brian Fitzgerald of Cheshire, and Susan Gerner of Wallingford, two sisters Margaret Pryor of Courtland, NY and Rita Nicolosi of Hanppanee, NY, and four grandchildren Elizabeth, Scott, Colleen, and David. She was predeceased by her daughter Mary Rush. Arrangements- Funeral Services for Mary will be held 9:15 A.M Monday, March 23 from the Slater Funeral Home, 242 South Main St. Cheshire, CT 06410 to St. Thomas Becket Church for Mass at 10 A.M. Burial will held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Sunday, March 22 from 1 to 5 P.M at the funeral home.
