Obituary of Judith Silverman
Judith (Helfand) Silverman, 83, passed away Saturday July 25, 2009. She was the beloved wife of Oscar Silverman.
Judith was born April 9, 1926 in New Britain, and was the daughter of the late Israel and Hattie (Schwartz) Helfand. She was a graduate of Wilby High School, Class of 1944. She was a member of Beth Tikuah Temple of Lake Worth, FL, and a lifetime member of Hadassah.
Besides her loving husband Judith is survived by two sons, Roy and his wife Shelley of Avon and David and his wife Nancy Silverman of Cheshire, three daughters Lynn Silverman of Watertown, Karen and her husband Jeff Rosow of Cheshire, and Debra and her husband Jeffrey Ehrlich of Cheshire, a brother in law Samuel Cohen of West Hartford, a sister in law Syd and her husband Ben Levine of Lake Worth, FL, twelve grandchildren, Todd, Hayley, Michael, Neal, Allison, Brad, Jason, Amy, Jesse, Abby, Karly, and Molly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters Bertha Schulman, and Rita Cohen.
Arrangements- A private graveside service for Judith will be held at Beth El Temple Jewish Cemetery, Avon. Shiva will be observed at 100 Scenic Court, Cheshire, from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M, Monday and Tuesday July 27 and 28 2009. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, is in charge of arrangements.
