A Light in Our Lives, The morning sun climbs in the east, its' rays push back the night; It burns away our worldly fears, it renews our daily plight. And with its' warmth and eerie glow, it ripples on the seas; It burns away the morning mist, and creates the daily breeze. Now to this world there stood a force, that shined a ray on all; Who's light could pierce the darkest night, and cause no star to fall. The warmth he brought cut to the heart, and stirred us all day long; And as all life upon this earth, we all stood tall and strong. Now some just took for granted, the power of our star; For ages past has taught us, that he never varied far. But time we know has limits, the end is lost in time; Without our sun to light our path, the dark will always shine. So as I walk the beaches, the cold and dark my feast; I await the morning glory, .....and my eyes turn to the east! My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you! Chris
