Dear Mrs. Sherman, Billy, David,Paulie, Maudie, Chuck, Claire and grandkids, I can't tell you how terribly sorry I was to hear of Mr. Sherman's (Charlie's) passing. I so vividly recall the excitement of pulling into your driveway when I would come to visit with my family. Could it really be over 40 years ago! It was always such a fun place to be. I was always fascinated by the greenhouses and went on to have my own for a time and work in a wholesale one for a while. I remember how much he loved his flowers and how wonderful it always smelt in the florist shop. It was extra special around Easter and Christmas. So many years have passed but the fond memories linger of being with the Sherman kids and their mom and dad. I was so very glad to have the chance to talk with both him and Mrs. Sherman at my dad's 80th b'day party. His wonderful smile and sweet manner was just the same as I remember from those years long ago. Kids, you were blessed to be born to two such amazing parents but I know you know that. And yes, I know, we're not kids any more but you'll always be the Sherman kids to me. Your house was a true home filled with joy and laughter. I always knew we'd have tons of fun when we went to visit. Mrs. Sherman,(Edie), your gentle spirit is so very beautiful and special. I pray that all your wonderful memories you shared with Charlie help get you through this time. To share so many years together is so very special. I'm so sorry that you have to endure this pain.
