My heartfelt sympathy and codolences to the entire Hall family. Al was a "brother" Mattatuck Band member with me, and a good friend. Infact, Al & I joined the Band the same year. We learned how to drum together, and march side by side in many parades. Al was a true hero, in every sense of the word, and he will be sadly missed. May God give you comfort at this most difficult time. Be assured that Al is watching over us now from his earned place in heaven. Pat Parziale

I also graduated with Alan. He was just a nice man and always a good listener. He truly was a hero. As we are saddened, we will always remember how he sacrificed himself. The child and their family will live with that forever.

Dear Eileen, Julie & Greg...we were so shocked to read about Alan's passing. However, not so shocked that he died in such a heroic way...saving the life of another. Those of us from CHS class of 1965 will always remember what a special person Alan was and he will be missed. As a friend since we were so very young, I want to extend my condolences to Eileen and the kids. Alan was indeed a special person and a good friend for all the years of our lives. He saved a child..what an amazing man. I'm sorry that he had to leave you but he sure did such a wonderful thing for that family. He will be missed by many for a long, long time. God bless you, his family.
