My great grandmother Elizabeth Smith Fleming (1900-1989) thought the world of Dr. Tylec.
He was her family doctor for years and she credits him with saving her son Donald's life when he had to have an emergency appendectomy and also for saving her life with a pacemaker.
After Dr. Tylec retired she saw another doctor for the last few years of her life. She would often say to anyone who would listen about the new doctor. "That bozo is no Dr. Tylec" (This was very out of character for her since she was very polite and kind.) To her, Dr. Tylec was the gold standard of doctors, he could never be replaced.
Sincere sympathy for your loss and gratitude for the years of wonderful irreplaceable care Dr. Tylec gave to my great grandmother.
