Hi Linda and Debbie: So sorry to learn of Dad's passing. Dad was a great part of My Elk Life, and I will always appreciate what he did for me. I learned a lot from him and about him. My Memories of Mom and Dad will always be that they were a real couple. They always seemed to be a great part of each other's life, and enjoyed their time together. Dad's practical jokes were nothing short of amazing, and I will always treasure them; even those sent in my direction. Dad's personality was truly magnetic, and appreciated by us all. His accomplishments were plenty and his legacy should include several functions that are stiil going on today. These include Eagle Scout Recognition, Women's Bowling, Women's Card League, Mixed Card League, Family Picnic and there are no doubt many more. I will truly miss Mom and Dad. My sincerest sympathies on their passing. I understand our God does indeed have a sense of humor so they will be right at home, as they watch over us. I will remember them in my prayers. I leave you with my Elk Favorite: Vacant Chair. We shall meet, and we shall miss him There will be his vacant chair But though we no more possess him Still our hearts his memory bear. But awhile ago we gathered, Friendship beaming in each eye, Now the Golden Chord is severed, He has passed to realms on high.

I remember George from my teen years, back in the 1950s. My friends and I thought of him as a close friend, and would hang out with him when he worked nights in the east end. We made many pizza runs for him and shared good times with him. He was a big influence in our lives. He was well thought of and will be missed. Roger
