To Paulette's family and friends, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked at the Bank with her and always enjoyed our conversations - about work, the daughter she was so proud of and her great cars. She was a true professional and a wonderful person. Please know you are in my thoughts.

Dear Ralph and family: As a fellow employee of Paulette for more than twelve years, I must say that she was an inspiration to me as a human being as well as someone to aspire to at the workplace. Paulette has left to me the greater impression of high character, moral rectitude, and the finer Christian example of putting others first before oneself. It was my good fortune to have known her. May the Lord comfort you with all the good memories of her. Dave Layne, Mortgage Account Officer, Peoples United Bank

My heart aches to know I can no longer share my friendship with Paulette in this life. She was such a special friend to me and how I loved to make her laugh. I knew Paulette in our early days at Colonial Bank but the times "the girls" got together over the past years are the memories I will most treasure. We would walk away laughing every time and agreeing that the laughter we shared was the best medicine for us all. I mostly admired her courage and strength. It truly gave us renewed hope to face our own challenges. You are forever in my heart, Paulette. Love, Madeline and the Stango family

I'm am so sorry to hear of Paulette's passing. I am one of those many Waterbury teachers that were lucky enough to know Paulette through the teachers homebuyer program. She was a lovely woman who always remained upbeat and encouraging through what seemed like endless mounds of paperwork. It was always evident that she cared deeply about her clients and that she was just as rewarded to see us get our new homes as we were. I will always be grateful for the hard work she did. I am proud to have known her. My condolences to her family.

Paulette was my best friend in high school and my maid of honor in our wedding. I have been reminiscing about all the fun we had in high school and beyond. It's hard to find one adjective to describe Paulette. Among my choices are sweet, kind, generous, happy, spiritual, intelligent, ambitious, and loyal. I could go on and on. In high school Paulette would shorten a skirt and take the leftover material and make a headband. Everything was coordinated and tasteful. I surprised her one day and showed up at her house, only to find her using brillo and car wax on her Volkswagen Beetle. It was squeeky-clean. There wasn't a speck of dirt inside or out! Paulette began working at Colonial Bank as a sixteen year-old and ended up making banking a lifelong career. I am sure her work was impeccable. She helped so many people achieve their dream of owning a home by arranging for them to get the best mortgage. Her work was important, but Ralph and Alicia were her world. The last time we spoke, she told me about Alicia's boyfriend. She was happy that Alicia found a wonderful guy, and that she has a successful career in education. She bragged about her dutiful husband Ralph and how he accompanies her to her doctor's appointments and treatments. I feel privileged to have known Paulette and hope that I could be half as brave and dignified if ever I am faced with a serious sickness. I will never forget Paulette--she is truly inspirational.

Paulette was a wonderful person and a pleasure to know and work with. She was one of the most reliable, hard-working and honest mortgage reps that I have known over my past 33 years in the business. Somehow she managed to do all of that and still make her family her #1 priority. I'm truly sorry for your loss

I hope it helps you to know people do care and are praying for you and your family, during this difficult time.

We are so sorry for your loss...no, OUR loss... Paulette was always the one so positive, uplifting especially for others who were going thru their own problems. I use to tease her and say "When I'm down all I have to do is pick up the phone dial your cell phone and listen to your recording...its such a POSITIVE, GOOD FEELING....hard to explain... Going out to supper and talking, laughing, eating, venting....NOTHING WAS BETTER THAN THAT....I've known you FOREVER and what a blessing that is... Ralph/Alicia we are truly so sorry.. Love Always, Linda & Dan Vecca
