I was so saddened to hear of Mrs. Lamanno's passing. She was my 4th grade teacher at Andrew Avenue, and one of my favorites. Although she was feared, I soon found that her bark was worse than her bite, and she had a heart of gold. She was so patient, and I particularly remember her being so systematic in the way she taught us things. I also fondly remember her telling stories about her upbringing. I am a middle school music teacher, and I know that she is one of the people who showed me that teaching was important. My deepest sympathies to your family. Karla Chipelo McClain

Rosie was always a treasured cousin to me. Growing up, I would become excited to hear "the sisters from CT are here" and made sure I got to my grandmother's, Alfonsa, house quick. Rosie was filled with stories of life and memories of family, past and present. She lit my imagination and I wanted to hear more. As a child, both cousins were a fascination to me. In later years, my sister Joann and cousin Theresa kept in touch with Rosie and Josie and shared their stories with the rest of us. We all share in the loss of cousin Rosie and she will be missed. I hope you find comfort in knowing she was loved by so many.

Sincerest sympathy and prayers for cousin Rosie and her family. She had the most interesting stories of our family and distant relatives and made me laugh every time I saw her. I"ll miss her as I miss her sister Josie. Both sisters were a part of my growing up years. Their visits to my grandmother, Alfonsa, were always fun times. God bless the Lomanno Sisters
