To Bill, John, Anne, Paul and Rob - Your Mom was a loving mother, tremendous woman, and a dear family friend to us all, especially to my parents. She always had a kind word for them and was especially supportive in their later years. It continued to be a pleasure to visit with her when we returned to Cheshire for a visit. She was blessed with a long and fruitful life. May your mother and father rest in the peace and love of God. The Marut Family

So sorry to hear about your mom's passing. I'll always remember her saying after she moved to Hartford it was easier to get a divorce than a new hairdresser! Cause your father couldn't understand her coming back to Cheshire to get her hair done. I enjoyed her visits to the salon. She was a special lady.

Dear Family: Your mom was a dear and generous friend. She remembered everyones birthdays and celebrated them. She was so forgiving of anyones faults. She made many dear friends when she lived in Huntington WV. Everyone was sorry when she moved to Connecticut. Sure it was the same with her new friends. She was such a great example for her children to love God and everyone else. We will all miss her. Love and prayers, Jane Muth

Dear Bill and family: Our heartfelt sorrow at the passing of your mom. Today is the 4th anniversary of the passing of my own mom. There are still moments when it is a difficult thing for me to think about it. Memories jump at me, seemingly out of nowhere, and I am overwhelmed. I know that you were aware that your mom's time was very close, but I know, too, that one cannot prepare sufficiently for the eventual loss. We send you healing thoughts, and prayers for comfort. Peace, Kathryn & Bill

Dear Bill, John, Paul and Anne, I am so sad to hear of your mother's death. Doris was my mother's dearest friend and she was like a mother to me. How can you describe an icon? Doris was pure sugar. She was the consummate mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Nothing was too much for Doris when she ministered to you. Ironically she died the same age as Mom. They were two beautiful women who lived their faith and loved their family unconditionally. I will miss her. The world won't be same without those two. We are comforted in knowing that Mom and Doris are together in heaven with Our Lord and Blessed Mother, where there is no more suffering or sorrow. We'll look forward to seeing them again someday. In the meantime, my mother gave me great advice. She said grieve but keep it brief, your grandchildren and families need you to carry on. Much love to all of you, Diane

Dear Billy, John, Ann, Paul and Robert. When I was a teenager and we all lived in Huntington, I spent a lot of time baby sitting for all of you. Your mother would have me arrive early so that I could spend time with her while she was getting ready to leave. She was always rushing around but always had time to be kind to me and listen to my teenage trials. She even gave me her Juliette cap which she had worn in high school to wear to a dance. She was always gracious and thoughtful. A true lady. I'm sure the world is a better place because of her. I know I am. She will be missed.

Anne, I was so sorry to hear about your mom. I will always remember our nice visit with you all when you came to Huntington. Think Joan sent you the beautiful picture I have of her on my calendar. So glad I had a chance to see her again. She was a lovely lady and a dear friend. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. Wish we lived closer.

Thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Your Mother was a Class Act - such a Lady in every single way. The love she had for her family was quite obvious when she spoke. My sincere condolences and sympathies are with each and every one of you. God Bless you all.

To all Doris and Bill's children--you have our deepest sympathy. We remember the Toller Family with much love and very fond memories of our days on Donald Ave. in Htgn, WV. Robert and our Michael were only 5 yrs. old and Doris and I traded so much "baby-sitting" time. God Bless you at this time and know that you are not forgotten even though the years have passed. Fondly, Karen & Don Kelsay.

Dear Anne, Bill and Mary, John and Mary, Paul, Robert and Patti and all grandchildren, Your mother, mother-in-law and grandmother is one of my very favorite cousins... a true "gem" of a person. Everyone who knew her knew her to be the kindest, gentlest, friendliest, and most understanding as well as most forgiving individual we could ever be blessed to know. I am proud to be her cousin and to have grown up with her in Kansas City for those early years. It was always heart-warming and uplifting to visit with her on her trips to Kansas City. She was so faithful in wanting to get together whenever she was in town visiting Anne. I am very grateful for her presence in my life... limited as it was. My deepest sympathy to each of each for no longer having Doris actively in your life. She will always be with you spiritually along with her love, Bill, your wonderful father, father-in-law and grandfather. Be assured of a frequent, prayerful remembrance of them and all of you as well. God's blessings be with each of you always. Sincerely with prayerful, loving concern, Jerry

Dear John, Mary, and all of the Toller Family I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. My childhood was enriched, and probably somewhat protected, for having her involved in my life. Memories of Donald Avenue, Military Road, and a trip to Cheshire bring many a smile. Thanks to all of you for allowing me to share a part of your mother, father, and to have been involved with your family. I hope that time brings nothing but peace and joy to each of you. Bob Grant
