Obituary of Charles Keene
NAUGATUCK - Charles H. Keene, 71, passed away Saturday May 5, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital after a brave battle with cancer.
Mr. Keene was born December 24, 1940, the son of the late Harold and Ethel (Sturges) Keene. He was a lifelong Connecticut resident where he worked in the construction industry. He served his country in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Marine Corp. and was a member of the American Legion Post #60 in Danbury.
Mr. Keene is survived by his children Herc Keene of Oakville and Candy Lebel of Naugatuck; his wife Doris McDonald of Naugatuck; his grandchildren Denise Keene, Steven Keene, David Hammer, Ryan Lebel, Jake Lebel and Gary Terracciano; his great grandchildren Tristan Mish and Dominic Mercato; his siblings Ethel Ritch of St. Croix, Althea D'Aiuto of Florida, Emma Burling of Milford and Paul Keene of Fairfield; his son-in-law Kevin Lebel of Naugatuck; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers Jimmy and Harold.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will follow in Coley Cemetery in Weston. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home.
