David posted a condolence

Dear DeWitt Family.. I would like to take the time to express my deepest condolences for the loss of Stanley. I recently loss my mother so I realize this can be a very tough time. During my difficulties, I've found the Bible offers hope and comfort. I would like to take the time to share a few scriptures with you. While Jesus was on the earth he did many thing to show he cared for mankind. Not only did he miraculously feed many people at once, but he also cured then of sicknesses, disease and wicked spirits. However, Jesus showed his ultimate power by resurrecting people from the dead. John 11 is the famous account in which Lazarus had been dead for 3 days. His sister Mary had believed if Jesus was there, her brother would've never died. Jesus said "I am the resurrect and the life.....", later he resurrected Lazarus from the dead. Jesus even said those who exercise faith in him will never see death at all. (Death in the bible is likened to a deep sleep or a state of unconsciousness Ecc 9:5 But God is a god of the living, not the dead, because they are all in fact living to him as they await a resurrection). The hope of a resurrection from the dead was also expressed by the first century Christians. In Acts 24:15 Paul says, "...I have hope towards God which these men also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrect of both the righteous and unrighteous." Yes the bible assures us that not only will there be a resurrection, but there will also be a time when death is no more! Rev 21:3,4 says "... Look! The tent of God is with mankind and he will reside with them and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry be anymore. The former things have passed away." And as final seal of approval, Heb 6:17-18 tells us of in part that God cannot lie. I hope these few scriptures will comfort you during your mourning. If you would like more free information on the bible, please contact me @ the email address. God bless.
