Alan and I were friends since about 1970, and he was a good friend. Way back then Alan had a beautiful corvette, and he had a circle of friends. My best wishes to his family.
I was so very sorry to hear of Alan's passing. He was my gun instructor two years ago and also taught my brother last year and my niece and her boyfriend last year as well. I had seen him since then once or twice at High Rock Shooting Range. He was a great instructor and a very friendly guy and I know many people will miss him.
To Alan's loved ones, from a very grateful student of his who will never forget the day spent with Alan, both for his wise and wonderful teaching ability and for starting me off in the right direction with shooting sports and the responsibilities that go with that.
