My condolences to the Carroll Family. Jimmy was my father's best man so I knew him from an early age. But my fondest memories of Jimmy were when I'd be playing with friends in front off my house on Waterville St and along would come the hook and ladder truck with Jimmy steering the back end. That was always a thrill to see in itself but when Jimmy would bellow out "hey Tommy" and wave to me from the truck that was the biggest thrill of all and it certainly impressed the heck out of my friends.

Dear Carroll Family, We would like to send our prayers to all the family. Our dad, Lefty Adams, was a fellow firefighter and friend of Jim as was our mother, Mary. Dear Carroll Family It was with sadness I read about Jim's passing. I remember so many years ago when he would pick me up from, McTernans on Columbia Blvd. and bring me back to my dad's store on Bank St. and he would show me what he was doing around the store. I also remember a day when he took me to the firehouse and let me climb on the trucks-fond memories of so many years ago. We were so thankful to see Jim at our dad's Memorial in 2008. May your memories sustain you in your time of sadness. Richard Michaels
