Obituary of Helga Schreitmueller

Cheshire- Helga Schreitmueller, 90, entered into rest Thursday August 21, 2014 at the Highland Healthcare Center in Cheshire. She was the wife of the late John I. Schreitmueller. Helga was born April 3, 1924 in Bremerhaven, Germany to the late Paul and Emily Thiele. In 1930, they relocated to the United States. Mrs. Schreitmueller worked in Cheshire at the Jack and Jill Nursery School for many years before becoming a chair-side assistant to Dr. Charles Guelakis, also in Cheshire. Helga leaves her sons; Robert Schreitmueller of Florence, South Carolina; John P. Schreitmueller of Atlanta, Georgia and two granddaughters, Kristen Reeves of Plano, Texas and Lauren Schreitmueller of Atlanta. Arrangements- Services for Helga will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations in Helga’s name be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home 615 S. Main St. Cheshire CT 06410 is assisting with the arrangements.
