Dear Diane, Gary and I were shocked yesterday to hear of Mike's passing. Gary spoke to Mike when he was in the hospital and has been trying to reach him since then. Now we know why Mike did not answer. Both Mike and Gary were in the hospital at the same time for the same reason, CHF. Gary is recovering but Mike is now an angel watching over you and all of his loved ones. We will always remember Mike with great fondness. Gary shed many a tear yesterday when he heard the news. Mike and Gary have had a long friendship, always trying to keep in touch with each other. We send to you Diane our deepest condolences and know how much Mike was and is loved by many. Diane, I am so very very sorry and shocked to hear about Mike's passing! I know these are just word's, but I hope these words can give you some sort of comfort and possibility make your heart smile for a moment or two! Diane, you were so very very lucky to be married to such a wonderful man like Mike, who just also happened to be your best friend for 44 years! I remember when you spoke of Mike, you were always so Proud and always with a Smile! Never did I recall you ever saying anything negative about him! I guess when you found each other it was the "Luck of the Irish"! I hope that your faith and your family and friends will help you find some sort of closure when the time is right for you. You're both in my prayers. If there is anything I can do for you please let me know, since you've done so much for me these past couple of years. God bless you, and here's a Big Hug from me. Mike was our hero, the standard in which we held every man up to. He was one of the "good Guys" always kind, respectful, so loving to his wife, and a great sense of humor. Mike, you will be missed by all of us and never forgotten. It was an honor to know you.
