To the Sickola Family - I was so very sorry to learn of John's passing and I extend my sympathies to all of you. John was a true giver.... of his time, talents and friendship. It was an honor to serve as a class officer at NHS with him. John was the "glue" that kept our class together and worked tirelessly to ensure continuation of our Class Reunions. Shirley--I am so sorry for your loss. I am in total shock. While John and I had lost touch, I thought of him periodically and always will remember fondly our times at QC and Cape Cod. John was larger than life and always wanted to make others happy. I am so saddened by the loss of my friend, John. I haven't seen him since high school, but he made a great and wonderful impression on me then, that carried through the years. We talked frequently on Facebook, and I was sure I'd see him soon.

I was lucky to become friends with John at Quinnipiac & then reconnect with him several years ago. He was the kindest, funniest, happiest guy! Whenever we were together I knew I would be laughing the entire time. I will cherish every memory I have of fantastic times with him. He will be missed so very much by so many of us. I was a lucky young man for knowing John. Growing up in Beacon Falls was interesting and I consider Jjohn a friend in those early years. I recall John sending his thoughts to me when my Sister passed away. I just wish I was able to thank him face to face. His condolences meant the world to me. I was blessed to meet John on a Liberty Travel trip to Hawaii. During those 2 weeks, we had more laughs than I could ever count. John was such a wonderful, sweet, funny guy, and I am grateful to have known him. My deepest condolences to all who love him.
