Obituary of John E. Sickola, III

John E. Sickola, age 54, of Beacon Falls passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Waterbury Hospital with his loving family by his side. John was born on January 2, 1962 in Waterbury and was the beloved son of Shirley W. (Dyson) Sickola and the late John E. Sickola, Jr. John was a vibrant person who touched many lives. He was a graduate of the Naugatuck High School, Class of 1980 and served as Class Vice President; after, he earned his Master’s degree from Quinnipiac College. John worked for Quinnipiac University for over 10 years, first in the Facilities Department and later in the Purchasing Department. Soon after, John worked as a travel consultant where he began new friendships with many clients returning back to him. In addition to his mother Shirley, he is survived by his loving sisters; Cheryl Ann (Sickola) Chesnas of Naugatuck and Shari Lee (Sickola) LeBel of Beacon Falls, his faithful dog, Guilliana and many cherished friends. A Funeral Service for John will be held at the Congregational Church of Naugatuck, UCC, Division Street, Naugatuck, on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11AM, friends are invited to go directly to church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family. Friends may pay their respects to his family at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770 on Sunday, April 3, 2016 from 3PM until 6PM. At the request of his family, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492.
