Dad my memories are big time of the LAKE DRIVE IN but is of the COTTAGE on the lake in wollcott, of us all the time fishing or just spending our time together, im going to miss you so much !!!!! you were a heart filled man plus the family being all together! for CHRISTMAS OR THANKSGIVING OR EVEN HOLLOWEEN !! my heart sank the day of your passing wish i could had been their with you, but ill keep our memories with me and i can not wait to see you in heaven ! So sorry to hear of Don's death. When I was younger Donny used to drive some of us to bowling in his convertible. As a teenager I worked for him at the Lake drive-in. As we got older we continued to bowl together and catch up at Stop and Shop. He was a great guy! Ted Valentino

I CAN REMEMBER DON BACK IN THE DAYS HE WORKED AT THE LAKE DRIVEN ON MERIDEN ROAD, HE WAS A GREAT GUY AND ILL NEVER FORGET HIS 1967 BLACK SS 396 CHEVELLE ! AWSOME CAR AND AN AWESOME FRIEND I HAD NOT SEEN HIM IN YEARS AS I MOVED AWAY TO CALIFORNIA I HOPE PEOPLE PUT MORE PICS OF HIM UP! I WAS VERY UPSET WHEN I READ THE OBITUARY THIS MORNING ,IM SURE HE IS AT PEACE NOW . I ALSO EXPECT TO SEE HIM IN HEAVAN SOMEDAY! BOB

Donnie was my FATHER to me, he will always be in my heart and memories for ever ! He was a very special man, he loved his family and all more, he brought me up since I was about ,8 years old , we talked about everything even up till the last day ! I would call him here from Florida just to say hi dad and he would say the same !! I can't weight to see him in heaven I know right now he is watching over me !!
