To my Mother: sometimes it takes a few days to realize the effect of losing someone so special... I will never forget the times when my family came over to play cards on weekends in new haven, and we had to carry the kids back downstairs to the car, and all the great dinners you made on holidays and birthdays...or the tag sales you had with Inge..selling 50 cent items for 5 dollars...and the concern you always had when i got hurt at soccer, and you kept telling me to stop playing... and calling me on the phone to tell me you made my favorite baked ziti and stuffed shells and for me to come over....and then even recently when we always went to bingo and the casino trips, you always tried to slip money into my pocket or sue's purse. you were always too kind und generous with everyone you knew...or you would come up behind me and hit me in the head whenever i played a trick on you... It is what mothers do, they always make you feel special...I will miss all the times we shared and everything about you....even when we didnt say " i love you", you always knew how we felt... I LOVE YOU and will never forget you.. meine liebe mutter...i love you with all my heart and will miss you until i see you again... We will do our best to take care of papa for you, who misses you more than you can imagine... Kalli

Oma, It is hard to imagine you are not going to be with us any longer. I can remember all the funny memories as we grew up. I still to this day eat a piece of toast with butter and salami. You were the only one who fed me this and I think of you each time I make it. How can we forget the tag sales you used to love doing oh so much. Only you could sell a stuffed animal that was broken for $20 dollars. You were a specialist at tag sales. Each Christmas I have given you a special nutcracker as your gift. I can remember each time you opened this nutcracker that signature laugh you had. I can never forget that smile and laugh. You were a special Oma who loved me and my sister so much and I could never ask for a better Oma. You will be missed by so many. Now you are a special angel in heaven whom looks down on us. Love you always and forever Michelle Biewald-Trotman
