I am heartbroken and shocked to learn of the passing of my dearest friend from 3rd grade! Sherri and I were BFFs through that entire year in Woodstock, VT. Our friendship continued even after my family moved to Rutland, VT for my 4th grade school year. We were pen pals for over a year and I even took the bus alone (a thirty minute ride on a Greyhound) at the age of 9 to do a return visit to my dear friend back in Woodstock. Our Dads were Masons together and I was a frequent sleepover guest at Sherri's house...and even at their camp on Silver Lake! I convinced my parents to give my newborn sister the name 'Sheryl' after my best friend. (They made it my sister's middle name!) Over the years, I'd hear reports now and then of Sherri's life from my Mom who had maintained a Christmas Card exchange of each year's news of their respective families. I'd only reconnected with Sherri a couple of years ago via Facebook; I was thrilled to have found her again! I will try to attend the Memorial Celebration of her life scheduled for May 11 this year in Woodstock. I send her family my heartfelt condolences on their loss and hugs to help. Love, Marilyn Aluisy Pageau

I am sorry to hear of this. I remember Sherry back when I was in High School and College, when I was dating her son Jay (hugs to Jay, because I know he is hurting). She was so passionate about her career as a nurse, and really wanted to help and heal people through the practice of reiki. She also had a creative streak, and we had alot of fun talking about crafts and jewelry making. She made really great jewelry pieces and we bonded over that. And add to that her love of animals. There was a lovely menagerie of cats and Mozart (Who Jay purchased for Sherry, and I was lucky enough to be a part of that experience). She was sweet and so loving to all animals. I hope she finds rest and comfort now.

My deepest sympathy to Sherrie’ s daughter and family. Sherrie was my teacher, friend, mentor. I would not be the person I am today without her guidance!! I met her in 1990 when I was very ill in the hospital as a patient and she changed my life. I have been in the SICU at St Raheals for many years and the patients and staff have benefited from what she has taught me!! Grace, Blessings and Peace! Love Cathy

It saddens my heart when I heard of Sherri’s passing, such a special soul, pleasant, uplifting, calming, smiling and healing. I worked with her on at St Rapheals Hospital. I remember she came to 5 North and Blessed our Nursing hands with touch and prayer. I swear that night a glow followed me when I was working 5 North with our 3-11 shift. I recently found the written prayer she gave me when she did the Hand Cleansing. Im glad I saved it. She always left me glowing with our talks and her presence. She was patient, she was soft-spoken, a healing master, touched every ones heart. God has taken her but he she has left us with good memories and lessons that when I sit back and think about are very powerful. Thank you Sherri for crossing my path.

I work for HSR - & met Sherrie right in the beginning of my career. We referred to her as the Angel nurse because she wore many angel pins and was very spiritual and loving to all she came in contact with. She was a gift in her field - she brought healing to both staff nurses and patients with her Reiki and prayers - and her ability to listen. She is missed.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Sherri’s passing. I met her back in 1998 at St. Raphael’s when I was a new nurse. She was always so gentle, kind and sweet. I loved that she was an old school nurse and always wore her nursing cap and her scrubs were always adorned with beautiful angel pins. I fondly remember her coming up to the floor to do IV’s and always making time to touch base with me and share a little love through a mini reiki session, a hug or a gentle back rub. She was the most selfless soul and always cared for everyone she came into contact with her gentle voice and touch. I swear she was an angel on earth. Through the years we became good friends and she was my reiki instructor. I remember going to her house for reiki sessions and entering her reiki room to be surrounded by love and light. She was a gifted and magical soul. May she Rest In Peace and May you all find comfort in knowing that she was truly loved by many. She was an angel on earth and she will be deeply missed. My condolences are with you all during this very difficult time.

I worked with Sherri at Saint Raphael’s for many years and I can honestly say that I never saw her without a smile or a kind word and she was always so patient and sweet to her patients. She was a wonderful nurse and contributed so much to the profession. I can only imagine what a great loss her family is experiencing. She was such a beautiful person inside and out and she touched so many lives. She showed by example to be compassionate, thoughtful, caring and kind. My deepest condolences for her family and I pray that your beautiful memories of her bring you some comfort.

Heaven has gained the greatest angel it could ever have. My heart is sad at the loss of the best cousin/friend ever. We grew up together, shared secrets, laughed, cried and always maintained a very special bond. There was no kinder person on earth. Her personal and professional life was about helping others and making a difference which she certainly did in every life she encountered. I will miss you sweet Sherri but know you are at peace, surrounded by those who loved you so and still making a difference. Until we meet again. God bless you!
