I just learned this morning of Larry’s passing. I send my deepest sympathies to all his family and friends. I was a neighbor to Larry and Meg for ten years. It didn’t take me long to warm up to Larry and Meg. They always flagged me to come over and sit a spell. Larry would have me laughing telling me stories of him identifying to Meg what airlines were flying overhead. Larry would always ask how my son is doing. He took the time to sit and talk to him. He always made us feel welcome. After I had surgery, when the snow was deep, or even after a wind storm, Larry would pop up out of the blue with his bucket loader to help me with shoveling or do yard work. Even after I moved, I would go back to visit and sit a spell with my dear friends. Larry, to me, was not only a neighbor but a dear friend. I called my son and he was heartbroken. Rest blanketed by the warmth of God Larry. Till we meet again....

Meg, Larry and Susie, I am so sorry to hear of Larry's passing. I speak with Ray often and always ask about Larry, you Larry Jr. and Susie. I enjoyed the picture memorial, many of the photos bring back memories of the time I spent on Sandbank Road. I always, always, always had fun around big Larry, he was a special man! Larry had a nickname for me, 3-Shot. Tonight I will have 3 shots in his memory and honor. Again, I am very sorry for your family's loss. It makes me sad. Darwin Pearson

We are sorry for the loss of Larry and we pray that Larry is at peace now. I think back over the years that I have known the Wild Family from the days of making donuts at grams to riding the bulldozer with him at Kuhn's on Notch rd to riding the horse and carriage from the Cave to Across the horse downtown Waterbury on ST Patrick's Day. The trips to the cousins house in Montgomery NY, Nancy and I will continue to pray for everyone at this time of Loss

Dear Meg, Susan, and Larry;
So very sorry to hear of Larry Sr.s passing, he meant so much to so many people those inside along with so many from outside your immediate family that we are all going to feel such a tremendous loss, and wanted you to know we celebrate his life with you. Larry was an amazing man that always offered a kind word, a quick smile, along with a high five for my grandson that the men at the Notch nicknamed "ACE". Larry Sr. that my family and I referred to as Uncle Larry, was such a large part of my childhood as I grew up and I was so happy that my kids and grandkids were able to meet one of my dads very good friends, even if it was for only a short time. it is now the end of an era Uncle Larry being the last of the best! so much of old Cheshire is mourning your loss right along with you and your extended family in the next several days. know that as you walk through this difficult time people you may have never known nor expected to are praying for your hearts healing, strength, and understanding that is needed to get through this.
Deepest condolences;
Steven & Mary(McNamara)Stopkoski

Of all the qualities that God possesses, love is the most dominant one. He loves us so much that he gave his only begotten Son so that we may live. Life is what he purposed, not death. Soon he will swallow up death forever and remove all the things that causes pain and suffering. Until that time may each of you take comfort in him and in each other.

Meg, Larry and, Susie - I am so saddened to learn of "Big Larry"'s passing. He was always so nice to our family and loved to tease Tessie once pulling her over while he was on duty and shook his finger at her while asking how everyone was! We all thought he looked like a young Arnold Palmer. Know that Ma and Pa Wild and Mary, Kay, Judy will take good care of him until you are reunited. May good memories sustain you during your sorrow.

Where can I begin.... Larry, Meg, Bob and I had so many fun times. When we took the camper to Newfane, left to come home, on our way back we went into just a little turn around. It was hysterical because there was a garbage bag full on Play
Boy magazines. Bob insisted that Larry had those planted there for us to find. Larry sure could have done. All of his cop stories..... Forever saying "I was an honest cop for 28 years." The stories he told us about the force never got old. We have so many fond, fun memories. Oh the time we went to their condo in Ft. Lauderdale the drain was clogged. We had so many laughs for so many years. We want to express our deepest sympathies to Meg, Susan, Larry, Carly, Holly, Beverly and to all of the so many other family members. We will always love him and never forget him and the fun we had. Love, Bob and Sharon

As a rookie Police Officer in 1982, I was assigned to the Billy Hamilton and Larry. I enjoyed working for Larry because he didn't yell or mock you but he taught valuable lessons that you never forgot. I remember going on a complaint on Maple Avenue and I left the cruiser key on the counter as we left and locked up the house. I called Larry on the radio to bring me a car key. That was the longest wait I ever experienced. He showed up and I sheepishly took the key and Larry just said hang on to this one and drove away. I expected the worse but he taught me a valuable lesson and it was I know what you did but don't do it again. That's the kind of guy he was, tough as nails but a heart of gold.
Larry even invited to Florida for a "booze cruise", I love him for his kindness and how he always thought about others. Good bye my friend, mentor and trainer!
