Oh Mrs. Doyle- the tears just won’t stop. I do not get home very often, but I was home for New Years. Driving into the cemetery to see Alison, I saw flowers and my heart just sank. You and Mr. Doyle were second parents to me. The last time I saw you, I was pregnant with my son - you were so very happy for me. You hugged me and told me to always stay strong - to this day I can still hear you saying this. You must’ve known something, because I did have major struggles - but I stayed strong. I know you would be proud of the woman I’ve become, with 5 years of recovery, at last. There were two people in this world that I would never want to disappoint- Mr. and Mrs. Doyle. Thank you for the love, thank you for the memories, thank you for the strength. Thank you for always treating me like your own. Most importantly, thank you for always loving me. The impact your family has had on me has been a blessing my entire life. Spread your wings, soar high - you are all together again. Frankie and Tom - I am so very sorry. I hope you both know your family meant the world to me. I’m sending huge hugs and prayers. Alison has her mom and dad back - they will fly high together and, I know, continue to bless us.

Nicky, Your kindness to me as I grew into a young man can not be overstated. Always encouraging and willing to point out to an awkward pre-teen and early teenager what was good to me meant a great deal to me. Your ability to explain Tom's crusty nature when I had to wake him to go to the pharmacy on the weekends allowed me to better understand him and the wonderful guy he really was. I miss you but you are always part of me and will live on in me through my kindness to others

I just wanted to say what a lovely woman Nicky was. She truly knew the meaning of friendship, loyalty,honesty and being a good neighbor. The world will be missing a very kind soul. Please accept Paul and my condolences upon her passing.

To the family of "Nicky" my condolences to you all. During these difficult times 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 is a comforting thought... it says "Praised be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God." This scripture can give us confidence that God will give us the strength we need to endure our trials.

I'm so sorry to learn of Nikki's passing. As a former resident of Meriden and a 35 year employee of TWA, I got to know her and Tom very well. I was privileged to have flown on a few of Nikki's flights over the years, and being based with TWA in Windsor Locks, I was able to help her with some of her employee tickets. She was a good friend.
