Obituary of Peter Bizzozero
Mr. Peter John Bizzozero, 38, of 485 8th St. N.W., Washington, D.C. and a former Middlebury resident, died Sunday June 24, 2007 at the Washington Home and Hospice in Washington. Mr. Bizzozero was born in Waterbury, Nov. 5, 1968, a son of Dr. O. Joseph Bizzozero, M.D. and Elaine (Tangle) Bizzozero of Middlebury. He was a graduate of St. Margaret-McTernan School, Class of 1987 and received his Bachelors degree from Skidmore College, class of 1991 and was studying for his Masters. He began his career in Washington in 1994 as a Health Care Legislative Aid to Reg. Gary Franks (R-CT) and in 1996 he took a similar post with Rep. Scott Krug (R-WI.) In 2000 he became Director of Government Affairs for the American Association of Independent Insurance Agents and ten in 2006 he became the Director of Government Affairs for the American Traffic and Safety Association. He was a communicant of St. Patricks Church in Washington, D.C. Besides his parents, he leaves one sister, Lori M. Bizzozero of Burlington, Ct.; 3 brothers, Gregory R. Bizzozero of Phoenix, AZ, James J. Bizzozero and David E. Bizzozero both of Middlebury, Ct. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday June 30th at 12 noon at St. John of the Cross Church, 1089 Whittemore Rd., Middlebury. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church prior to the mass. Burial will be in Lake Elise Cemetery, Middlebury. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St.. is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, 1075 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, 06708, or to the Community Hospice of Washington- In-Patient Unit, 3720 Upton St., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20016.
