Obituary of Joseph Amico

Cheshire - Joseph J. Amico, 80, of Ives Row died Monday July 17, 2007 at New Britain General Hospital. He was the husband of Marlene Amico.Mr. Amico was born April 20, 1927 in Waterbury the son of the late Thomas and Antoinette (Bisacia) Amico. He was a self employed Carpenter and Contractor and was a WWII Navy Veteran.Besides his wife of 57 years, Mr. Amico is survived by his sons Thomas and his wife Lynn of Plantsville and Wayne and his wife Jayne of Southington; two brothers Tony Amico of Waterbury and Thomas Amico of Greensboro, NC; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Pat and a sister Josephine.Arrangements Funeral services and burial are private and will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Slater Funeral Home, 242 S. Main St., Cheshire is in charge of arrangements.
