Obituary of Mark Syphers

Mr. Mark Brian Syphers, 51, of 492 Main St., Southington, died Wednesday Nov. 14, 2007 at the Hospital of Central Conn. in New Britain.Mr. Syphers was born in Hartford, Aug. 22, 1956, a son of the late Edward and Janice (Angeletti) Syphers and had resident in the greater Southington area for many years. He was a Senior Engineering Technician and a Journeyman Toolmaker with over 20 years experience. He was employed by VDO North America in Cheshire until his illness. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 72 of Southington and enjoyed golf and the New York Giants Football.He leaves two sons, Alex Syphers and Chris Syphers both of Southington; two brothers, Alan Syphers of Philadelphia, Pa. and Edward Syphers of Lords Valley, Pa. and one sister, Sandra Corsa of Naugatuck.A memorial service will be held on Friday Nov. 30th at St. Michaels Episcopal Church, 210 Church St. Burial will be in new Willimantic Cemetery, Willimantic. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is assisting with arrangements
