Obituary of Laura Flynn

Mrs. Laura Aleen (Glovna) Flynn, 37, of 217 Fieldstone Terr., Naugatuck, Ct. died early Saturday Feb. 9, 2008 at St. Vincents Medical Center in Bridgeport, Ct.. She was the wife of Christopher R. Flynn. Laura was born in Bridgeport, Ct. April 14, 1970 a daughter of Robert L. Glovna of Bridgeport, Ct. and Carol (DeAngelis) Glovna of Tampa, Fl.,and had been a Naugatuck resident for the past 15 years, moving here from Shelton, Ct.. She was a graduate Leto High School in Tampa, Fl., and had attended Notre Dame High School in Fairfield, Ct. prior to moving to Florida. She was a Customer Banking representative with the Newtown Savings Bank for the past 3 years, until her illness. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church and was active with the St. Francis School Home/School Association. She had also been active, and one of the leading fundraisers with the Romp and Stomp Snowshoe Walk in Vermont, which was a benefit for the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Besides her husband of 13 years, and her father and mother, she leaves her two children, Christopher and Julia Flynn both of Naugatuck; two brothers, David W. Glovna of Monroe, Ct. and Vincent E. Glovna of Tampa, Fl.; her step-mother, Patricia (Perry) (Mancini) Glovna of Bridgeport two step brothers, Richard E. Mancini of Bristol, Ct. and Christopher M Mancini of Naugatuck; a step-sister, Danielle Curtis of Fairfield, Ct. ad her paternal grandmother, Virginia E. Glovna of Bridgeport, and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck, Ct. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
