Obituary of Robert Teator

Mr. Robert H. Teator, 60, of Cheshire died Sunday February 10, 2008 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia (Maddaloni) Teator.Mr. Teator was born February 2, 1948 in New Haven a son of the late Harry and Edna (Anderson) Teator and has been a Cheshire resident for the past 35 years. He was a graduate of Hamden High School and Central Connecticut State College, where he earned his Bachelor and Masters degrees as well as his Sixth Year Education Certificate. He was the Technology Education Teacher at Dodd Middle School in Cheshire where he also coached track and soccer, retiring in June of 2004 after 35 years of service. Mr. Teator also taught part time at Central Connecticut State University for 19 years. He was a member of the C.E.A, the N.E.A, N.E.A.T.T (President 2000-2001) and the founder of Dodd Middle school T.S.A. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of New Haven, the Declan Society at the Church of the Epiphany in Cheshire and the Bristol Fish and Game Association. After his retirement, he was employed at Scully Auto and Truck Parts in Cheshire and as Facilities Manager at the Church of the Epiphany in Cheshire.Besides his wife, he leaves his sons, Matthew H. Teator and his wife Glynis, Mark V. Teator and his wife Aimee all of Cheshire and John P. Teator and his wife Melissa of Naugatuck, his grandchildren, Andrew, Christopher, Katharine and Maya Teator, his sister Valerie Petersen of Milford, his great aunt Virginia Anderson of Woodbridge, his father-in-law Vincent P. Maddaloni and wife Bertha (Yanny), his sister-in-law Betty Maddaloni and brother-in-law Paul Maddaloni all of Cheshire.A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Teator will be held Friday February 15 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany. Friends are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be in St. Bridgets Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Slater Funeral Home 242 South Main Street in Cheshire.
