Please accept my condolences, and please know how sad I was to hear of Dave's death. He was an old and dear friend from Camp Chingachgook, with whom I simply fell out of touch far too long ago. I am, in fact, in possession of several things that he wrote and sent to me years ago. I'd be happy to return them to family if any of you would like to contact me. Otherwise, please know that Dave lives on vividly in my memory and in my heart.

Billy, I wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. I didnÂ’t know David all that well. However, I recall spending a weekend in 74 or 75 with Saint Georges Church at Hermit Island Campground with your family. Your mom made David and I lemonade while we listened to the soundtrack from Jesus Christ Superstar on your cassette tape player, good times. Be well and god bless. Wayne Terrell

Billy, I was very sorry to learn of your brother's death. Dave, as well as both your parents, were very fine people and highly regarded by all the Pinkhams. I will recall them with very fond memories. You have my sympathy in the loss of your brother and I regret that I could not attend the services for him today. Please accept my deepest sympathy. The Camp Chingachgook family is so sad to hear about our loss of David. For a few summers, David Pope held YMCA Camp Chingachgook on Lake George together as our program director. He was a creative, hardworking, and fun loving leader, as Camp Chingachgook served hundreds of children in diverse outdoor programs. David was our expert in Native American and French and Indian War history and told many campfire stories that kept us spellbound. David was also the heart and soul of the drama program at Camp and helped create our camper newsletters and yearbooks. David Pope's creative energy and positive influence has been felt by thousands of children at YMCA Camp Chingachgook.

I was so sorry to hear about David's passing. We acted in four plays together and it was always a pleasure to work with him. While doing 'To Wither to Rose', all of the cast were amazed at his impressive knowledge of the Civil War. You have my sympathy and prayers. Sincerely, Carol DiCarlo

I was very sad to hear of david's recent passing. I didn't know him too well since we graduated Taft School, but I remember him as a quite, thoughtful guy. I can remember jamming with david in jazz band fondly, also
